Position and Connect
Setting Up
1. Position Vu Qube outside with clear view of southern sky.
To speed up search time, point side opposite handle south
2. Connect coaxial cable to Vu Qube and to Satellite receiver.
Hand tighten (DO NOT use a wrench)
Make sure to connect coaxial cable to “Satellite In” port on satellite receiver

Aligning Vu Qube Antenna to Satellite
1. Set Vu Qube Antenna to correct elevation using Up/Down arrows.
Elevation can quickly be determined using MAPS in the back of this manual or by entering
zip-code in satellite receiver prior to navigating to signal meter screen.
2. Following the instructions in your satellite receiver owners manual, navigate to the
satellite signal meter screen and select the appropriate transponder as follows:
DISH Network 11
DIRECTV 19
3. Rotate Vu Qube Antenna with Left/Right arrows until signal appears on signal meter.
4. Maximize Signal Strength by slightly adjusting Vu Qube Antenna using all 4 arrows.
Tune In
Watching TV
Once you have a satellite signal follow satellite receiver on-screen guide to navigate
to programming.
NOTE: it may take a few minutes to download programming from the satellite.
Satellite Position Memory
For use when programming is on multiple satellites.
TO STORE POSITION:
Hold down either the Satellite 1 or Satellite 2 button for at least 2.5 seconds.
The LCD will show “P1” or “P2” when button is released.
TO RECALL POSITION:
Momentarily press the desired satellite recall button (Satellite 1 or Satellite 2) for no more than
1 second. The LCD will show the recalled satellite location “r1” or “r2”.
TO CANCEL RECALL:
Press any arrow button to stop moving to a stored position.
